Beginner L-02: Shopping

This course is based on Genki Lesson 2, and is designed for beginners who are excited to explore Japan and enjoy activities like shopping.

You’ll learn how to say large numbers so you can understand and talk about prices, and how to ask for directions so you don’t get lost. The course focuses on speaking practice, with plenty of opportunities to build confidence and improve your conversation skills.

We’ll also learn Katakana to help you read menus, signs, and product names with ease.

Let’s master the te-form conjugation! The te-form is one of the most commonly used verb forms in Japanese. It’s essential for connecting sentences and is used in many grammar patterns — such as making requests, asking for and giving permission, and more.

The ultimate goal of this course is to help you handle a difficult situation you might find yourself in. You’ll also learn how to offer help and explain reasons or causes (like saying “because 〜”).

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to interact with people more naturally and confidently.

Lesson Requirements

 

All the couses are done online via Zoom, so you will need a Zoom account, computer (not smart phone), and a microphone and headphones so you can talk and see the shared screen during the class.  

How To Apply and the Payment Process

 

The application process for all courses is on a first come, first serve basis.  To reserve your seat, you need to purchase the course via a link I set up. Please fill out the form below with your contact information, and I will send you a link back via email where you can complete the payment process.  

Please note: There are no refunds offered for missed classes or absences .

Cancelations

 

Students can cancel and receive a refund when cancel is done a week before the course starts. However, payment service fee (〜 6%) will not be refunded.
